To use it, update your client to 1.5.2 (To update lwjgl). Then just replace [bin\minecraft.jar] with the minecraft.jar I have provided for you all.
It has OptiFine 1.5.2 HD U D2, and ReiMinimap v3.3 06 added to it.

Is it supposed to be in .zip format?

I ziped it so it would be a smaller transfer file. Open up the zip and take out the jar. The jar file is what you all want out of it.
