Guilds are a relatively new concept to Squiggy, but we wanted to integrate it with the factions plugin. So far, it is working out very well. In a nutshell, Guilds are like a job class, similar to the job classes in Final Fantasy Tactics. Guilds are run by "King Factions" and a King Faction is a skilled faction that has been around for a long time. Now, you must be wondering how Guilds function with Factions, and truthfully told... We are still learning. However, here is some insight on playing with Guilds. Each Guild has terrain bonuses and penalties for combat. Also, Guilds have other bonuses with faction, server, and rules. Clerics: Terrain Bonus: Ocean, River, Mushroom Island, Mushroom Island Shore, Ice Plains, Frozen Ocean, Swampland, Frozen River, Ice Mountains, Beach, & Sky. Terrain Penalty: Special abilities: Coming soon! Bonus for pure cleric faction: Can be granted peaceful status if deemed worthy by Cleric King Faction. Penalty rule: Any cleric found raiding will receive a temp ban and removed permanently from the Cleric guild. Thieves: Terrain Bonus: Swampland, Jungle, Desert, Forest Hills, Taiga Hills, Extreme Hills Edge, Forest, Taiga, Beach, Ocean, & Sky. Terrain Penalty: Special abilities: Coming soon! Bonus for pure thief faction: Bonus 10 power to the faction and a 25% discount on monthly rental in /warp shop. Penalty Rule: N/A Knights: Terrain Bonus: Extreme Hills, Desert Hills, Taiga Hills, Extreme Hills Edge, Ice Mountains, Jungle, Jungle Hills, Taiga, Ice Plains, & Sky. Terrain Penalty: Special abilities: Coming soon! Bonus for pure knight faction: Bonus 20 power to the faction. Penalty Rule: N/A Merchants: Terrain Bonus: Plains, Jungle, Desert, Frozen Ocean, Forest Hills, Taiga Hills, Forest, Taiga, Frozen River, Extreme Hills, & Sky. Terrain Penalty: Special abilities: Coming soon! Bonus for pure merchant faction: 50% discount price on monthly rental at /warp shop. FAQs on Guilds Q: I noticed that there is certain biomes listed each guild... Do i have to live in those biomes? A: No, you can live anywhere you like! Those areas are just where you get bonuses for combat. ~ Q: Can any guild join any faction? A: Each faction is run by normal players and they might have restrictions. Overall any guild should be able to join any faction. ~ Q: I'm a Cleric... I don't like fighting, but i'm in a diverse faction. Am i immune to combat? A: No, you aren't. In order for Clerics to be fully safe, they must join a peaceful pure cleric faction. ~ Q: I joined a guild, but now i don't want to be in it anymore. How can i leave? A: You must ask a Guild leader to remove you from the guild. You can't leave a guild on your own, and this is to limit guild jumping. ~ Q: Help! I'm a Cleric and i'm being attacked! Can i defend myself? A: Of course, you can! But you can't start the fight, but defending yourself is ok! ~ More soon! | |
